Compare the2026 Jeep Recon VS 2027 Chevrolet Blazer EV

Both the Recon and Blazer EV have child safety locks to prevent children from opening the rear doors. The Recon has power child safety locks, allowing the driver to activate and deactivate them from the driver's seat and to know when they're engaged. The Blazer EV’s child locks have to be individually engaged at each rear door with a manual switch. The driver can’t know the status of the locks without opening the doors and checking them.

To provide maximum traction and stability on all roads, All-Wheel Drive is standard on the Recon. But it costs extra on the Blazer EV.

When descending a steep, off-road slope, the Recon’s standard Hill Descent Control allows you to creep down safely. The Blazer EV doesn’t offer Hill Descent Control.

The Jeep Recon’s 360-degree camera is equipped with washers for its front and rear cameras, ensuring crystal-clear visibility in any weather condition. Conversely, the Chevrolet Blazer EV only offers a rear camera washer, which may not provide the same level of all-weather performance.

Both the Recon and the Blazer EV have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, driver knee airbags, side-impact head airbags, front and rear seatbelt pretensioners, height adjustable front shoulder belts, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, crash mitigating brakes, daytime running lights, lane departure warning systems, blind spot warning systems, around view monitors and rear cross-path warning.

Jeep’s powertrain warranty covers the Recon 3 years and 40,000 miles longer than Chevrolet covers the Blazer EV. Any repair needed on the engine, transmission, axles, joints or driveshafts is fully covered for 8 years or 100,000 miles. Coverage on the Blazer EV ends after only 5 years or 60,000 miles.

The Recon’s corrosion warranty is unlimited miles longer than the Blazer EV’s (unlimited vs. 100,000 miles).

The Recon’s electric motors produces 430 more horsepower (650 vs. 220) and 377 lbs.-ft. more torque (620 vs. 243) than the Blazer EV’s standard electric motor. The Recon’s electric motors produces 350 more horsepower (650 vs. 300) and 265 lbs.-ft. more torque (620 vs. 355) than the Blazer EV’s optional electric motors. The Recon’s electric motors produces 35 more horsepower (650 vs. 615) than the Blazer EV SS’ optional electric motors.

The Recon has a standard locking charge port, which locks and unlocks with the power locks. The Blazer EV doesn’t have a locking charge port. A locking charge port prevents tampering and damage.

For better stopping power the Recon’s standard brake rotors are larger than those on the Blazer EV:

For better traction, the Recon has larger tires than the Blazer EV (265/70R18 vs. 255/60R19).

The Recon has a standard full size spare tire so a flat doesn’t interrupt your trip. A full size spare isn’t available on the Blazer EV; it requires you to depend on roadside assistance and your vehicle will have to be towed.

For greater off-road capability the Recon has a 1.6 inches greater minimum ground clearance than the Blazer EV SS (9.1 vs. 7.5 inches), allowing the Recon to travel over rougher terrain without being stopped or damaged. This allows the driver to concentrate on driving without constantly adjusting the wipers. The Blazer EV’s standard manually variable intermittent wipers have to be constantly adjusted.

Heated windshield washer nozzles are standard on the Recon to prevent washer fluid and nozzles from freezing and help continue to keep the windshield clear in sub-freezing temperatures. The Blazer EV doesn’t offer heated windshield washer nozzles.

The Recon’s standard outside mirrors include heating elements to clear off the mirrors for better visibility. Chevrolet charges extra for heated mirrors on the Blazer EV.

The Recon has a standard heated steering wheel to take the chill out of steering on extremely cold winter days before the vehicle heater warms up. A heated steering wheel costs extra on the Blazer EV.

The Recon has a standard dual zone air conditioning allows the driver and front passenger to choose two completely different temperatures so people with different temperature preferences won’t have to compromise. This makes both the driver and front passenger as comfortable as possible. Dual zone air conditioning is only available on the Blazer EV RS/SS.

The Jeep Recon has a standard Homelink wireless remote control system for garage door operation and device management, conveniently located on the driver’s visor. Homelink® eliminates the need for separate garage door openers and associated risks of losing, breaking, or having dead batteries. Homelink® is only available on the Blazer EV RS/SS.

To quickly and conveniently keep personal devices charged without cables tangling and wearing out, the Jeep Recon has a standard wireless phone charging system (Qi) in the center console. Wireless charging costs extra on the Blazer EV.

The Recon has a 115-volt a/c outlet on the center console, allowing you to recharge a laptop or run small household appliances without special adapters that can break or get misplaced. The Blazer EV doesn’t offer a house-current electrical outlet.
